Community Partnerships

The Madame Zingara team has always believed that success and accountability go hand in hand, and that everyone has a responsibility to give back to the community which supports them.

What started off as an annual street party, our infamous Christmas in July, has now become a decade of love. From the streets of Cape Town, the partnership with Ikamva Labantu has evolved to embrace many community projects, with millions of Rands being facilitated and raised over the years.

The advent of the Theatre of Dreams enabled so many more wonderful opportunities for corporate social involvement, and has allowed us to also take on a second major CSI partner, Nicro. However, our relationships are not only limited to two organisations – our involvement is daily, and it touches each of us who are so proud to be a part of this journey.

With a network of over 1000 projects, Ikamva Labantu offers protection and care to our children and, from places of safety to grass roots community centres and initiatives, over 30 000 children are cared for and loved daily.

Nicro, South Africa’s oldest non-profit organisation which works in partnership with the South African judiciary, offers alternative methods for the rehabilitation of our youth. And so the circle is complete.

At Madame Zingara, it is our belief that every child deserves to smile. Success is for everyone – it is not a select gift. We all have it within us, and when people with long journeys are united, it is their brotherhood which creates magic.

With this as the cornerstone of our ethos, we strive to create an environment where anything is possible, and people from all walks of life can build and grow within the support that we lovingly provide.
